The campaign to defeat HJR-6 has been all about people coming together to stand up for our shared beliefs as Hoosiers.

Employers, colleges and universities, people of faith, and members of every political party coming together to defend liberty for all Hoosiers. On January 6th, 2014 we’re going to come together again, this time in person.

"IU on Strike" in Support of IU Workers

Last week, IU announced that it was laying off 50 employees from the physical plant.  They could then reapply for their old positions through a temp agency, Manpower, Inc.  This plan is an explicit effort to avoid offering them health care, as would be required through the Affordable Care Act.

Protest at ALEC conference

ALEC (American Legislative Exchange Council), the corporate front group that has pushed hundreds of extreme state laws written by special interest lobbyists, is holding a 40th Anniversary meeting in Chicago from August 7-9. Union members, students, retirees, community activists and faith leaders will protest ALEC in Chicago Thursday, August 8 at noon outside of their meeting at the Palmer House Hilton in Downtown Chicago.

Fair Minimum Wage Press Conference

Indianapolis – On the fourth anniversary of the last time the minimum wage was raised, a broad coalition of local organizations, public advocates, and working families will hold a press conference to discuss the impact that raising the federal minimum wage would have for their families and the economy. The press conference will be held on Wednesday, July 24th at 10:30 am outside of Representative Andre Carson’s office at 300 E.
