"Why Defend Our Public Schools Now? A Community Conversation about Getting Involved"

Where:  Bloomington City Hall Council Chambers Hedge funds have already bet on the $600 billion "education marketplace"--but should our public education dollars be available to for-profit enterprise? Please join Fort Wayne education activists Phyllis Bush and Anne Duff and longtime Bloomington journalist Steve Hinnefeld for a conversation about the political climate that threatens local governance and is already restricting schools' ability to offer crucial services, decent class sizes, and curricula like science, art, music, and foreign language. This event is sponsored by the Indiana Coalition for Public Education--Monroe County and South Central Indiana.
