Discussion of High-Stakes Testing (Indy)

Monday, November 17, 2014 - 6:00pm

If you're tired of testing - or just want to learn more, the Indianapolis-Marion County Public Library invites you to a two-part series this weekend. The Indiana premiere of the documentary Standardize-Lies, Money and Civil Rights: How Testing is Ruining Public Education will be shown Sunday at 2 p.m. at Central Library, 40 E. St. Clair St. in Indianapolis.

The second gathering, Monday at 6 p.m. in the same location, is a panel discussion about the ramifications of the overemphasis on high-stakes tests. ICPE board member Carole Craig is one of the panelists.

Both programs are free and open to the public.
