Professor of Law and Louis F. Niezer Faculty Fellow from Indiana University, Jeannine Bell, will address Indiana's Stand Your Ground Law, as well as similar laws across the country and their effect on our criminal justice system. Professor Bell is a nationally-recognized scholar in the area of policing and hate crime, and has written extensively on hate crime and criminal justice issues. Her most recent book, "Hate Thy Neighbor" examines the rise of tactics for preventing residential racial integration in the last two centuries, and her talk promises to be thought-provoking and insightful.
