CFLC Members and friends - Two years ago, I encouraged members to step up as new leaders for CFLC.  Members appreciate our work over the last 20 years, including a local living wage campaign; helping pass the last raise in the state minimum wage; working to organize SEIU Local 1 janitors and security guards and AFSCME’s Indianapolis, Marion County Library employees; Fight for $15; helping found Indiana Moral Mondays and bringing Rev. Dr. William Barber to Indy; organizing Indiana’s first Labor Notes Troublemakers School; forming Indianapolis Worker Justice Center to address wage theft and support unorganized workers; participating at Labor Fest and Festival of Faith - and much more! Currently, we have no active campaign, but we enjoy first Saturday meetings to hear programs or discuss worker related issues. Our worker justice involvement motivated some members to share worker justice with other groups. Don, Ron, Mark and Louis, I applaud you! My work with our sister group, Indianapolis Worker Justice Center, has evolved.  I will resign as CFLC President to focus more on IWJC and will support the group’s decision.  I asked our busy members to search their hearts about this.  CFLC can continue with new leaders planning programs and meetings or we can consider dissolving after 20 years making life better for local working families.   As a founding member, I have loved serving and am proud of our efforts to bring worker justice issues to community and faith groups.  I greatly respect and appreciate advocates who shared their time and talent supporting working families at CFLC's table and allied organizations - especially Unleavened Bread!   If you are interested, join us at 10 am Saturday to help decide the future!  Happy New Year and, as always, Peace, justice and solidarity –

Nancy Holle, President
