Jobs with Justice Launches Worker Solidarity Fund

April 2, 2020

Working people from all walks of life, people we know and love, are out-of-work and struggling to make ends meet. Without paid leave or health care, countless people are grappling with impossible questions about how to pay rent or put food on the table.

Meanwhile, in as little as 3 weeks, millions of us who have had the opportunity of working-from-home will receive stimulus payments for financial hardship experienced during the COVID-19 pandemic. While some of us may need that money, we also recognize the difference the cash would make for our friends and neighborsfolks in the hospitality, restaurant, retail, and many other industrieswho are not getting paid.

That's why we're convening worker leaders from the most impacted sectors to launch the Jobs With Justice Worker Solidarity Fund, a fund that provides direct financial assistance to workers and gives unemployed people space to organize and build power long term.

Join us today by donating ALL or PART of your stimulus payment to working people suffering from incredible hardships during this crisisyour donation will go to the very same people who have long been exploited by structural racism and other systems of exploitation designed to prevent them from receiving a fair share of the money generated by their own labor.

Jobs With Justice and our network of coalitions are committed to getting cash to people who need it most. But we won't stop at financial relief only: we recognize this moment as an unprecedented opportunity for structural change in our economy, and our network is committed to building power with out-of-work people in innovative ways that allows us to come out of this crisis even stronger.

Now, more than ever, we must come together to ensure the well-being of our entire community. That's why I am asking you to join me in donating to the Jobs With Justice Worker Solidarity Fund today.

Any money you contribute will support affected workers who need help right nowgiving them the power they need to continue to demand better of corporations and help slow down the spread of the Coronavirus.

There is no time to waste. Please, donate to the Worker Solidarity Fund right now, and ensure all working people make it through this crisis.

In Solidarity,
